Facebook is preferred 100% over MySpace by early teens?

By Abe KasboI was giving a talk to 25 kids in their early teens at Fairleigh Dickenson University‘s business camp and the subject of social marketing came up. My expectation was that this was going to be a heavy MySpace audience…Wrong. Every single teen chose facebook. Why? The consensus was that facebook is a “cleaner,” “easier,” and “friendlier” utility.  It seems giving people too much control over their online environment is detrimental, as one kid put it “I mean you can’t even read the stuff on MySpace because people put so much crap and backgrounds.”   Go figure.
