New York, New York – September 3, 2008 . Artur Moreira has selected Verasoni as his agency of record for public relations, advertising and marketing.

Born in Brazil and inspired by European architecture, Artur Moreira brings form and function to life with his personal take on woodworking.  Guided by the great masters like Dali, Picasso and Gaudi, Artur defies gravity and imagination with the curvaceous lines and balance of his exotic wood sculptures.  Moreira’s work has been featured in shows and galleries in New York, London, Lisbon, São Paulo, San Francisco, Aspen, Las Vegas, and Miami.  

The artist’s pieces have been recently showcased in various charity events in New York City and The Hamptons, as he continues to commit his work to charitable causes around the globe. The artist believes his work has an historical lineage, because every piece is carefully handcrafted using recycled wood from older homes and structures.  Mr. Moreira’s commitment to global sustainability also takes him to the Amazon where he volunteers with children in his native Brazil, teaching them about the craft of woodworking and the repurposing of wood.

Recognized for his dramatic contouring of wood into fine and functional pieces reflecting both the influence of his years in Europe and his desire for conservation, the artist is based in the historic Iron Bound section of Newark, New Jersey.
