Washington, D.C. – May 8, 2025 – The Small Business Council of America (SBCA) honors Abe Kasbo, CEO of Verasoni, and resident of Mendham, New Jersey, as the recipient of the prestigious 2025 Carrey Family Humanitarian Award. This honor recognizes Mr. Kasbo’s exceptional dedication to charitable activities and his embodiment of the values central to the award: compassion, integrity, and community impact.
Mr. Kasbo was celebrated at the SBCA’s 42nd Congressional Awards Reception and Dinner on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the historic Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. The evening will commence with a cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. As part of the award, he will receive a complimentary SBCA membership through 2026 and a $4,300 contribution to a charity of his choice, Seton Hall University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, facilitated by the Chris Carrey Charitable Foundation. Established by SBCA Humanitarian Award Committee Chair Neil Carrey and his wife, the foundation honors their sons, Chris and Scott Carrey, and supports philanthropic initiatives nationwide.
The honorees include: Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Representative Brad Schneider (D-IL), Representative Nichole Malliotakis (R-NY), Fred and Lisa Giachetti and Marc R. Feinberg, Esq.
The event will bring together business leaders, policymakers, and advocates to celebrate achievements in entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
